Today, when I was taking a bath early in the morning on New Year’s Eve, for some reason an idea about “Chemistry” came to mind, so I thought I’d write about it.
However, please note that I am not referring to the “chemistry” of J-Pop.
More than 20 years ago, when I was studying English in New York, I realized that the word “chemistry” had the meaning of “compatibility.”
“I just can’t get along with that guy.”
“It’s a matter of compatibility, right?”
In such a case
“Don’t worry, it’s just chemistry.”
It was used like this
More than 20 years later, the other day I had the opportunity to read a junior high school chemistry textbook and learned about “alloys.”
When one substance is combined with another substance, the original substance becomes harder or more flexible.
When I read this, I thought, “This kind of thing happens to humans too.”
I’m a very indecisive person and slow to make decisions, but when I’m with a certain friend, I become a very strong-willed and judgmental person (whether it’s objective or not…)
I think this is because my chemistry with him is working well.
To the element “I”
If we add another element called “he”
The nature of “I” has changed
Another “I” is born.
This is a matter of work, but in love, couples who have chemistry that works like this would be happy.
“Chemistry” is I’ve heard that it developed from alchemy, which attempted to create gold by combining one thing with another.
If a different, irreplaceable personality = money could be created by combining “people” with “people” This can also be called alchemy.
When that happens
Chemistry = compatibility
Alchemy = alchemy
Aren’t religion and philosophy, so to speak, textbooks for such alchemy?
